Station

WXBC is Bard College's student-run, free-form, uncensored radio station. We provide original broadcasting to the campus and the surrounding community for 16 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the academic year.

Traditionally, time slots are 2 hours, once a week. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are all encouraged to apply. DJ-hopefuls can apply for shows in the first few weeks of the fall and spring semesters; there will be publicity on campus and via announce@bard.edu. For questions regarding the application process, please email the program director.

Bard College Radio was founded in 1947 as a Senior Project and has gone through many incarnations since. Our current studio space, completed in 2004, is located in the basement of Manor, an on-campus residence hall in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. We will be moving to a new location in the fall semester of 2008 and hope to broadcast out of there by the spring of 2009.

For the convenience of all listeners, WXBC broadcasts online at wxbc.bard.edu. We are not currently broadcasting at 540 AM.
